Pros

Great team. Work from home full-time. Generous vacation. Generous benefits and bonuses. Collaborative atmosphere. Technologically Innovative. My job is varied and interesting. I receive good training and opportunities to grow my career.

Cons

Organization of information. I am responsible for a huge amount of information and it's not always easy to locate answers to Client questions. Processes can be cumbersome. Web site needs revamping.

Pros

- Compelling growth story - Significant opportunities for influencing change and improving processes, - Competitive pay and benefits - Flexible working arrangements (remote vs in office)

Cons

- Minimal in-office culture/presence (if you’re looking for that). Most in Denver work from home and due to acquisitions (MassMutual, Personal Capital, Prudential) there’s a very dispersed workforce across the US and globally so the combined culture is a bit of a work in progress. That said, there is a good sense of community and information sharing and helping each other out (especially among analysts / analytics teams) that is a bright spot. - History of the company being an insurance provider looms large over policies, practices, language/thinking, risk appetite, and general culture. If you’re coming from fintech or IB or large asset management firm in a big market, the thinking might be a bit too conservative and slow. - Data is a mess (very fragmented, hard to find a single source of truth) , and the tech stack is full of proprietary systems that are aging significantly (not that surprising) but makes solving problems more challenging than it should be. For a firm administering over $1T of other people’s money, I’d have expected some better BI tools in key areas, not Microsoft Access queries.
