We are taking deliberate action to nurture an inclusive culture that is grounded in our company purpose, to refresh the world and make a difference. We act with a growth mindset, take an expansive approach to what’s possible and believe in continuous learning to improve our business and ourselves. We focus on four key behaviors – curious, empowered, inclusive and agile – and value how we work as much as what we achieve. We believe that our culture is one of the reasons our company continues to thrive after 130+ years. Pros

Lovely offices in Denver, CO

Cons

Hands down the worst organization I have ever worked for. Senior leadership is clueless. They eliminate associates who get things done and keep associates (even in higher roles (director and above) who don't actually work (just good talkers). They 'protect' certain associates who should be let go. The business unit I worked in was the most toxic, drama-filled team and the SVP who leads that unit is the instigator. If you want to work for an organization that isn't interested in doing things better, think differently to make progress, be held accountable and take responsibility for what you do - this is certainly the place for you.

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear your experience did not reflect the culture and values we strive for at Empower. Our strong culture is rooted in our values that include collaboration, accountability, and doing the right thing, and encourage all associates to recognize one another for demonstrating values, and speaking up if there are instances or behaviors that don’t align to our values.
