You get to collect a paycheck.

Cons

- compliance nightmare - terrible onboarding experience if you can consider what they call onboarding any type of training - stuck in their outdated ways - the accountability for the brokerage team lacking any leadership or understanding gets pass around to anybody but the manager - horrible company culture - forces OT without communicating that in the hiring process - the amount of gossiping the director and managers engage & initiate is surreal given their ages - witness multiple team memeber have anxiety attacks due to the lack of leadership and workload and the director and managers blamed it on the rep, which th no self-reflection - the manual process and lack of management involvement is a compliance nightmare waiting to explode.

Pros

Only pro is remote work

If you are completely desperate and have no other options than this is the job for you. Terrible job. You are tethered to your desk and everything you do is recorded. You have to use your own phone to be connected to their ancient phone system so your phone is in a continuous call all at. And no additional compensation for using your own equipment. 30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks which you have no say when you can take them. If you take anytime outside of your scheduled break, it counts against you. So if you have to go to the bathroom outside of your breaks, you’re outta luck. Have to answer a call in 7 minutes, that includes putting the person on hold, researching anything, wrap up time etc. Ridiculous. The most antiquated outdated systems ever. Managers are a complete joke. Don’t plan on using your so called PTO, it will never get approved. So many angry customers calling and complaining because Empower sucks so bad. Worst job I’ve ever had. If you are about ready to be homeless than go for it. Otherwise stay far away!

Pros

There are no pros that I can list at this time

Cons

I am micro-managed to death. I was part of the recent MassMutual acquisition and the process could not have been worse from a change perspective. I am demoralized and disrespected every single day. I have been doing this type of work for over 25 years and starting next week, I am required to enter how I spend every minute of every day in an Excel Spreadsheet. I have zero flexibility and work/life balance does not exist in this company.
