Pros

The ability to work under your own autonomy and having a direct leader (the only person) who will fearlessly advocate for her teams needs and concerns. Fancy title and the pay was higher than the industry standards. Former travel highlights and the role of being an educator.

Cons

Long hours, short time on deck. Made the money while I could. Whole department either resigned or was laid off in under 2 yrs, horrible benefits- the worst I have EVER seen. They switched from traditional PTO to flex (unlimited) PTO which is no benefit when you are constantly working, so make sure you request your time off. Many trainers resigned before being laid off and the reason was mainly due to the organization delaying to implement a strong program around DEI. I could also smell the clinical team's thoughts, thinking they could teach and do our jobs better than we could. They never allowed us to flourish as the experts and the non-lab people (ADOs and RVPs) were very critical and damning of our work. The Clinical Team are simply google experts. This place hired a Chief People Officer, restructured their HR team, created a culture committee, but I never heard of black or brown people included. Executive and senior leadership team is made of mostly white men and only one black woman is on the company's website. The President of Diagnostics is condescending and was very hands off and barely spoke to our team, which was majority African American.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We strive to continuously improve our employee’s experience; we appreciate and value your input. We’re sorry that you don’t feel our benefits are the right fit for you. Our new and significantly upgraded benefits package was built with team member feedback firmly in mind to provide the kind of coverage families need while helping them experience significant cost savings. DEI is incredibly important to us. We’re listening to learn what actions we can take to support our employees and reinforce the importance of a healthy and robust culture focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. This is fully in keeping with our core value of Servant Leadership, and we will continue to work to improve our DEI efforts going forward. Thank you again for your insight. It helps us make EmpowerMe Wellness a better company for everyone. We’d welcome an opportunity for additional dialogue; if you are amenable, please reach out to our HR team.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are disappointed to hear that your experience with us didn’t align with our efforts to create an exceptional employee environment for all our team members. We are especially concerned about the idea that you felt your license was in jeopardy. At EmpowerMe, we work hard to create opportunities for our therapists to advance in their field, and what you are describing is far from the kind of experience we try to build. Our HR team would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this situation further so we can focus our efforts on any areas where we can improve and work to ensure all employees have a great experience at EmpowerMe Wellness .
