It was not until I resigned working for Healthsouth did I realize what this job had cost me : my nursing pride.

Fair pay and benefits. Large corporation allows for educational oppurtunites.
Cons
.Management with elitist attitude. Especially with nursing department. Arrogance, intimidation, favoritism, disrespect, and utter disregard to geniune concerns and needs of staff. If management does not respect the nursing staff that takes cares of patients, then how can they care for the actual patients themselves? Difficult assignments that turn into dangerous ones because of poor team work and no follow up on serious issues. Actual comment of someone in senior nursing management when they were new" i expect to have 100% complete change in nursing staff before getting really settled " Knew then my days were numbered because I had experience and was hired before this manager. Someone even higher up than nursing commented during meeting regarding filling nurse management position " Let's face it, the eastern shore ( nurses) are in the shallow end of talent pool". This person is not from our area. I am not orginially from Eastern Shore Maryland either, but even I found this insulting.
