Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that you enjoy the benefits Encova offers. We have various positions within the company, including those that are remote. However, some roles do require associates to be in the office in person. We agree that we want our associates healthy and happy! Sleep pods aren’t in the plans, but we hope you take the opportunity to enjoy the other benefits to keep you physically and mentally healthy. Contact your HR business partner if you’d like to learn more about the resources available to you.

Pros

They offer lots of paid vacation time and good benefits such a decent 401k and medical benefits.

Cons

Once you start working there you receive 3 weeks hands on training. The problem is if you get promoted to a role higher up in the department, you are given little to no training on the new systems and expected to be proficient in them from day one. The managers for most of the departments tend to know less than the people below them about the day to day operations so you are on your own if you have a question, best ask a co-worker instead of your manager. The company has been going downhill ever since merging with Motorists Insurance Group, all the bad habits of that company have melded into the current company and now the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Communication is lacking as when major changing are made in IT, this is not communicated to the users and they all end up calling in asking what broke.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoy the benefits Encova Insurance offers. Motorists Insurance Group and BrickStreet Insurance’s affiliation positioned us to be more strategic in the market and more comprehensive for our policyholders, and our financial results show it has resulted in tremendous success. All associates are encouraged to thoroughly read our weekly associate newsletter, where important information, including IT changes, are communicated. We aim to adequately prepare all associates to succeed in their roles and will pass on your training suggestion to the appropriate area. However, associates can always take training concerns directly to their human resources business partner.
