Pros

Compensation is high for the OC industry, and benefits are decent (though no 401k match as the company is yet to be profitable). Endologix is a small company which allows you to wear a lot of different hats and gain valuable experience fast. The new facility has great amenities -- if you can find the time to use them.

Cons

Influx of leadership from Edwards and Medtronic has led to politics and in-fighting normally reserved for large companies. The entire RA team left with their VP due to mismangement of product development timelines and lack of strategic direction from remaining exec team. Quality organization has a lot of turnover and incestuous leadership,. Promotions within R&D do not appear to be merit based, and program management divides rather than unites teams, with lots of corner-cutting which results in wasted dollars and repetitive validation activities.

Unethical and ripe with favoritism

Pros

Some people are nice and the facility is nice. They have a good cafeteria and a new gym on site.

Cons

VPs are very unethical. They have a lot of product problems that they are trying to hide from the FDA and other regulatory bodies. They are very discrimatory and treat their favorites who can't manage very well. Meanwhile people who actually deliver on their goals don't get fair treatment. They are very poorly run and they promise you things such as relocattion and raises but they don't deliver. They will lead you on. They have a huge turnover in quality due to very bad management.

Terrible Product, Terrible Culture

Pros

The pay was okay and some departments are friendlier than others.

Cons

Many departments are just ruined by “cliques.” They destroy the culture and the turnover rate is CRAZY HIGH because of this. People leave for other jobs usually within a year- you even see higher ups starting to follow. This could also be because the products are terrible. Between the failures across Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory, entire product lines are continually recalled and pulled from market. And these are just the ones that have been exposed. Regulatory and Engineering, especially, have many known defects that they have not reported. Because of the high turnover rate, when an issue is found, there is no traceability because most of the team from the beginning of the year has already quit. Save yourself the torment and DO NOT WORK HERE.
