Pros

Good pay, benefits, and 401k

Cons

Most everyone in any leadership role can not be trusted. It’s all about the numbers, not quality, not safety. If they can cheat you out of pay, they will. If you say something they don’t like, you will be demoted, suspended then fired or plain out fired. If management likes you, you will be able to advance. If they don’t, then you’re stuck. They will drain the hard workers dry and let the lazy ones continue to be lazy. There is absolutely no accountability anywhere. HR is a joke, a generalist without a degree, makes people feel less than an inch tall. Will always side with leadership, no matter what. Supervisors don’t have to be there and don’t have to know anything about the area they are in charge of. Leaving whenever they want or sitting in the main office. Always having leads with no idea what they are doing, on the floor alone. Meetings are more important than what is actually going on on the floor. Upper management and HR doesn’t care about the people on the floor. Backstabbing is a must at this company. There is no teamwork although they preach about it every chance they get. Rules change everyday. There is no communication. You are constantly lied to. Production blames everything on quality, management blames workers, not broken machines. Each department is against the other. People who work the 12 hour shifts are always cheated. 8 hour holiday pay so they have to use 4 hours of vacation. They have to use their vacation for company shut downs. 5s, lean, and quality are just some things that are talked about. Forget about getting ahold of upper management on the weekends. They may tell you their doors are always open or if you need something just call, but that isn’t true. The turnover is unbelievable. Orientation groups are getting smaller. They don’t listen when you tell them anything. You are wrong, they are right. You get looked at like an bug they want to squish when you try to talk to people from corporate. They say bullying, harassment, and retaliation will not be tolerated. That’s a lie. It happens everyday. They will call you stupid in front of everyone. Don’t get hurt because they will blame you instead of putting the blame where it really belongs.

Pros

Good pay for the area. Work, for the most part, is relatively easy.

Cons

Communication between departments is horrible. Scheduling doesn't seem to be very well coordinated, no common sense when it comes to making sure equipment is in shape to run non-stop. Frequent mechanical failures and no desire to spend money to repair properly or replace outdated equipment.
