Pros

Hourly production floor people are great to work with. Maintenance staff is very talented.

Cons

Very much of an 'old guard' mentality in the management group. It's a 'do as thou told and don't ask questions' type of environment. This may be good for an engineer that just wants to ride his/her career out with little stress, but not really good for someone who wants to be innovative and think outside the box to solve problems.

Pros

Great benefits, 401K match and PTO.

Cons

I really enjoyed working there. Some management could be difficult, but not worse than other businesses.

Pros

Pay is okay for the area. Fun environment with interesting people at times. Work is rewarding and 12 hour shifts go quickly if you're applying yourself past what is expected of you.

Cons

Toxic environment- heavy metal toxicity at OSHA limits is expected. Safety takes backseat to everything- the safety culture here is worse than the military. If you don't toe the line to make friends you will not be promoted- promotions are based upon friendship instead of metrics or qualifications. Extremely high turnover rate. HR will divert this during interviews. This is very rarely a career oriented company- most people get used up and kicked out. It seeks half the people have quit or been fired then returned. PTO and point system is tilted towards "we pay above average for the area". Management and office personnel seem to be clueless on realities of getting things done on the floor. If OSHA performed some surprise inspections the plants in my area would be shut down- working safely is okay as long as it does not impact production. I'm certain my OSHA 30 card burst into flames when I started working here.
