Pros

The only pro about this job is that you work with amazing people who will become some of your best friends and you're able to all relate on how much you hate it.

Cons

I don't even know where to start. Before you say to yourself , "well all the reviews are not bad about England" , well that's because upper management and marketing write fake reviews to boost their score. First of all this job is not a sales job at all, it is a call center. You are not selling anything but bombarding customers all day begging for freight and dealing with carriers who can't even speak English. Your goals are completely unrealistic and you're on the verge of being fired constantly. You will be micromanaged constantly by upper management about your call count and even if you have a great week they will find something to complain about. What I mean by this is , if you have a week where you're above goal they will ask for you to get "more volume." You don't get compensated at all for hard work so what's the point of even trying at this job? You have to hit 150% of goal to receive 7.5% commission pay for that week and average 150% margin for the month to get paid out at 7.5%! Completely unrealistic unless you get handed a big book of business which will happen if you meet the certain credentials...Benefits are expensive and awful .. Every Tuesday you have two meetings just so that you can hear how much money the company brought in and you clap for about 20 mins at each one... no one cares because we don't see any of that money anyways! Ok, ok you get it, avoid this place at all cost.

Pros

Great people. The co-workers that you meet working here will become some of your best friends. This is a good way to get logistics experience on your resume.

Cons

Be prepared to function in a very mediaeval type of structure and life style, where what the CEO micro manages everything and sends the managers out to establish rules as the law. (Example - all the positive reviews on glass door are from managers or people trying to get promoted) No matter how hard you work and how much business you bring in on a weekly basis you will still be stuck in the role of a pesant in the EL kingdom. There is almost no chance for movement into management, and when opportunities arise, with out the blessing of your manager, you have no chance of escaping the life of a pesant at EL. With managers constantly walking around to enforce the CEOs ideals you will be learn to be on guard all the time, with the constant fear of getting a phone call from the comical after hours department. The daily stress and fear of being fired is very real. Be prepared to have to work extra hours on a constant basis. Co-workers disappear because manager fire them either before work starts or will ask them to stay after so no one can seem them. Do not be surprised if one day you come into work and realize that you are the only person left in your pod. On a weekly basis you will be forced to go to team meetings where managers are paraded around like the great crusaders of old in front of the CEO, while you sit and listen to how much money your are earning for the company. Being reward for record breaking weeks with dress downs and ice cream, much like a pesant in a kingdom.

Pros

A decent base pay but the commission is not there. Lot's of friendly people who work there but it can be hard to really get to know anyone because you are so tied to your phone. The company itself hits record numbers, but doesn't reward the employees who helped get them there.

Cons

Strict ramp goals. Much favoritism in promotions. Terribly expensive insurance. Long hours including weekends with no overtime pay.
