Best Revenue Cycle Company for Growth and Sustainability

Pros

Pros Having worked for Mercy in the ED I fell in love with the opportunity to be part of a not for profit organization. I was fortunate to identify a just cause of maximizing the revenue cycle in my 20 sq feet so Mercy could take care of the poor and underserved in the communities we provide service. Being with nurses and doctors everyday inspired me to my absolute best each day so they could utilize the talents God gave them to heal people. I believe Ensemble has done more to maximize that cause by taking on the revenue cycle processes for Mercy as well as many other health systems. I am surrounded by the most talented individuals in revenue cycle from across the country. This also means I have a large group of worthy adversaries that I have a deep level of respect and challenge me on a regular basis to fail forward. We don’t always agree on what should be done but at the end of the day we feel safe to push our ideas knowing that the result will add value to the revenue cycle and produce the results that are expected. My leaders have always been open and honest with me. Focusing on work/life balance and allowing me to never miss a minute of my family’s activities. I am blessed to be given the autonomy to run my department and that I can operate at my natural best.

Cons

Ensemble is not perfect. But I truly believe that although there are issues, I wouldn’t be able to go home feeling the same fulfillment anywhere else. The amount of community benefit we are bringing across the nation by maximizing reimbursement for hospital systems is unparallel in our space and our leaders focus on the future both short term and long term is felt daily. Example of the short term is the new building we are moving into over the next few months and the long term is felt by the large number of assessments we are doing across the country.

Pros

Working for Ensemble you have the opportunity to grow as a leader and a person.Having experience is a plus but you won't have a problem getting the hang of things. From day one you come in with training, when you get to the floor you have a smart to give you hands on training. Having leadership you see daily and will take the time to talk to you about anything. As an associate if you have ideas you can share them and sometimes emplented. Ensemble gives back to the community in a big way.

Cons

After 3 years no cons with employer

Ensemble Health Partners Response
6y
I am officially designating this as a grumpy 😠 review. Given that 9 out of 10 reviews for Ensemble are 5-star, I think the best way to respond to a one-star review is to point to our anonymous associate survey results and third party awards. For anyone out there looking at Ensemble as a next move in your career we are more than happy to share our comprehensive survey results - we couldn’t be more proud of them. Long story short, as an organization, our overall engagement score is 79% compared to IBM WorldNorms benchmarking of 74%. Over the last year, we have been able to increase our engagement score 7% showing we put People First, Last, Always. We’ve been recognized as a Becker's top 150 places to work and a Top Workplace in Cincinnati. With regard to to our compensation: As I’ve said in other responses: We start entry-level associates with strong comp packages and we have a 25% higher internal promotion rate than industry benchmark. Compensation is explained right up front, nothing hidden. If it’s a fit we’re off to the races. If it’s not, we really need to rely on prospective hires to make choices that work for their lives. I think it’s also important to point out that we have communication and escalation channels for any and every issue and concern that an associate might be dealing with. It goes all the way to the top. My door is always open and I welcome emails anytime (ShareWithShannon@EnsembleHP.com). Ensemble is a place where associate voices are empowered. If you don’t speak up we can’t do anything to create a better situation for you. And just to be clear, an anonymous 1-star review with deriding remarks doesn’t count as speaking up. Finally, the metrics. You don’t get recognized as the best RCM company doing the same thing that that everybody else does. We work hard, deliver exceptional results for our clients and reward associates that go above and beyond. We’ve been recognized with nearly every award this industry offers, and we are “closing the doors,” but only because we have to move to a new state-of-the art facility to accommodate our growth.
