A lot of smart and hardworking people running the day to day ops.

Insane politics that impede success. It is very difficult to be successful.

Pros

Above the comp and benefits, I work for an amazing executive who recognizes the challenges of being a working parent.

Cons

Too much gossip and jumping to conclusions that affect the perception of people and subsequently their livelihood. Be honest and truthful to people, they will appreciate it so much.

Pros

There is strong family culture. While people all work hard towards increasing the company value, they still maintain good work-life balance. Having the flexibility to be able to telecommute is also great. The company encourages employees to get training on new skills in order to do their jobs better. Managers often recognize people who exhibit exceptional performance, and promotion within the company happens annually, so there is great opportunity for career advancement. Benefit is also decent. Despite increasing health care costs, the company still manages to fully provide health insurance to the employees and their dependents.

Cons

The software projects are not very exciting. The pay is also not attractive. Perhaps those are the reason why the company has a hard time finding really talented local people to join the team.
