Pros

You get to eat good food when you are on set. You can choose what days you are going to be available for work.

Cons

Just because you are available for work does not mean you are going to get work, even if you have a call in service. Summer time the entertainment industry shuts down and work is even harder to get. People think being a background actor will get you on your way to being a movie star or discovered.

Pros

Entertainment Partners is a 100% employee owned (ESOP) company that provides payroll services to the entertainment industry. The company has offices in several locations across the United States and Canada including Burbank CA, New York City, Orlando FL, New Orleans, Utah, New Mexico, and Toronto. Entertainment Parners also offers such services as: assistance with navigating the benefits of states that offer tax incentives to productions; purchasing and rental services of equipment; publishing the Paymaster Book (the paymaster/production accountant's "Bible of Payroll"); along with accounting, and budgeting/scheduling software. They also own Central Casting which provides over 90% of all background and extra talent to thousands of movie and television productions every year. Several different departments are responsible for paying over 500,000 cast and crew members every year working on movies, television, commercials, and music videos, all over the world. It is the largest "employeer of record" in the state of California, surpassed only by the State itself. It is a wonderful place to work.

Cons

Although the work can be a little stressful at times, the "team-player" attitude makes it all manageable. I really don't have anything critical or bad to say.
