Pros

This category is, deservingly, completely empty. There is no single reason to work here over any other call center. Don't do it. You're better off working at Convergys, Teleperformance, or literally ANYWHERE else. I hear the Lehi office is nice though. You don't have to deal with any of the following real-life problems.

Cons

I worked from home at the time. This turned out to be a huge mistake. Being out of the office made it so I missed the social aspect of the job and the free kitchen (which was empty on Tuesday and restocked only on Monday the next week). The job as a leasing agent (nothing more than a glorified call center position) had me handling customer insults, maintenance, sales, and other resident calls and then filing a report that would sit in the property management's inbox for an undetermined length of time and remain unopened. Almost every call was a resident calling to yell at the property management. We were not equipped with enough information about the apartments to give the residents answers and, as a resident, when you're told enough times that your urgent phone calls are being redirected to a call center, you just give up on your landlord. But there are 50 minutes of break time (with an extremely strict attendance policy! Don't be one minute late!) per day (30 mins unpaid for lunch, of course). And they tell you you can use the break time however you want and then give you stipulations about how you can use the break time. The actual work is hellish enough without the painful bureaucracy you have to work under. 8 hours a day of non-stop calls. As soon as you file your call notes, another call is already coming in, and if you skip the call, you will be fired after just a couple (that's from the trainers, I never knew if it happened or not). Upward mobility is time-gated, so good luck lasting long enough to survive. And it is impossible (this was told me by the trainers and management) to receive a perfect score from Quality Assurance. (So if you want to excel in your job, this isn't the place for you!) And yet, if you score under 75% four times in a certain amount of time (I forget), it's an automatic dismissal. Working at Entrata's leasing center is like playing Russian roulette with your career. Shady, shady stuff.

Non-LDS and a Woman? Look elsewhere

Pros

Company tries to distract you with swag and snacks. The values are great but management doesn't adhere to them. If you are an LDS man who likes sports you'll get promoted in Support.

Cons

Support is run by men who openly play favorites. If you take a concern to management they will gossip about you and then write you up for having the concern in the first place. The management treats you like a child who can't be trusted to wipe their own nose; don't leave for lunch a minute early or come back from break a second late or you'll get into trouble. You also get in trouble for going to doctors appointments so hopefully you are healthy and someone else can take your kids if they are sick. If you are a woman and show any kind of intelligence or have suggestions on how to improve your product they will give you a promise to get you to create something, that is outside of your work duties, and then take credit for it and retract their promise. If you are a man and have the same idea you will get promoted right away. If you are a woman and work hard and are the top performer you will just get more job duties piled on; if you are a man you will get promoted. If a manager hears you talk about going out for drinks or learns that you can work on Sunday because you are not LDS then you get shunned for not "fitting in" and then ordered to work every Sunday because the rest of your team is LDS and can't work on Sunday. Since support is run by threatening employees your co-workers are quick to stab others in the back.

Pros

Working in departments not directly touched by the CEO can be tolerable. This is becoming less and less likely though, since the CEO is gaining more and more direct influence in each department.

Cons

Lack of leadership. Priorities and goals change weekly. This is not an exaggeration. I had a director who would drastically change the course of Client Services every month due to a "cool new book" he had read. This would disrupt a lot of the ongoing projects which were currently in place. There is a severe lack of scalability in the company as well. Arguably, this is something that happens in a lot of companies, but its almost comical how out of sync Property Solutions is. Each department tries to do the best it can, but is directly influenced by Development. The CEO runs development, and fires developers and others who disagree or don't fit with him. This encourages those in Development to "get things done" by pushing out new features or releases which are not near ready, thus creating havoc for all the other departments in the company. What's funny is that whenever an individual suggests that Development slow down, he or she is perceived as lacking the company's innovative spirit and is put in the dog house. Others see this and learn its better to keep their head down and keep their job rather than disagree with the CEO.
