Very high stress. Bad management

Pros

Other employees are very competent and friendly.

Cons

Managers come in as good people but slowly evolve into difficult, unyielding, disorganized and non-employee-friendly managers. This is a side effect of the kind of attitudes that upper management has, that slowly trickles down to lower level employees. This is the first place I've worked in where many of the people I know regret coming here, many are looking for another job, several are depressed and a few have contemplated suicide. Only the loudest people (who don't necessarily do much) are rewarded with bonuses and promotions.

Great company to grow at

Pros

Entrust is honestly the best company that I've worked at. In the few years I've been here, there's been so much growth and change for the organization that's given me so many opportunities to grow personally as well. There's always a new strategic initiative to get involved in, technology that we're investing in to learn about, or new team to work with. It's exciting to work somewhere that's truly a global company working on innovative technologies. If you raise your hand and take initiative, there's a ton of opportunity for career growth here. What really sets Entrust apart, in my experience, is the down-to-earth people and culture. I work with colleagues all over the globe, and find my Entrust peers to be consistently authentic and kind. The leaders I work with are engaged and not afraid to roll up their sleeves themselves to get the job done. I think your coworkers generally make or break your experience at any company, and I've been lucky to work with great people here.

Cons

For me, I'd say there are no cons, but the pros I listed above aren't for everyone. Change is a constant, especially as we keep growing through acquisitions, and we're regularly updating processes and technologies to scale as the company grows. For me, that's been exciting, but there are natural growing pains and frustrations, especially if you're someone who's more change averse. The roll-up-your-sleeves, scrappy culture is also a positive to me, but I've seen others struggle who are used to having more resources and surprised by the more frugal approach here. In general, there's a culture where people don't feel 'above' any task, but that type of hands-on leadership also isn't what everyone is looking for.
