The people is the reason I came to Enverus (formerly Drillininfo) and the reason I enjoy coming to work every day. These are the smartest, most caring, engaging and "have your back" people I have ever worked with. It's good to know you feel the same. I agree the pace of change is hard sometimes. I further agree that explaining the why is something that can be forgotten in the shuffle. And it's super important. So thank you... for the reminder. I hope you take the opportunity to share your ideas and views -- good and bad -- with leadership in ways others have not. Because that feedback is what makes us truly great.

Great Environment

Pros

Beautiful views of the greenbelt and skyline. It felt like you were looking out from an airplane window. Great culture in the office.

Cons

Most data entry jobs are head-down instead of head-up, so you really need to make an effort to get to know people because there's usually little need to communicate face-to-face with team members.

Your comment about data entry roles being heads down instead of heads up is really good feedback for us. We try to provide opportunities like in office happy hours for people to meet each other but recognize that sometimes that is hard. Something you might suggest to your manager is to host an open house with your team where you invite people to come meet your team and learn what they do. I'd be happy to brainstorm with you about ways you can interact with and get to know others better.

DI is an amazing place to be

Pros

Amazing people who are passionate, energetic, customer-focused, and innovative. The product is unique, and we're making rapid progress and continuing to push the envelope of what is possible for analyzing energy markets. Our client base is incredibly diverse, which makes them interesting to talk to, and they enjoy working with us. They are willing to collaborate and share feedback and ideas. Allen sets a unique stamp on the culture and the opportunity is entrepreneurial without someone looking over your shoulder or telling you how to do your job. You figure it out and have the flexibility to leverage your strengths to the benefit of the organization. I've seen other posts saying DI is a poor place for women. I am a female and have worked in other industries and companies. DI is the first place I've been where I have felt and seen zero gender discrimination. I have been respected since the day I walked in the door and I am happy to have met many talented females across the firm working in various roles.

Cons

Travel... Austin is a wonderful place to be based but not where the majority of our clients are located. It is also difficult to work across geographies and stay connected with folks in other offices, particularly those outside of the US.
