Pros

Headphones in - hours to listen to podcasts, books, and music No one really bothers you - can work mostly uninterrupted The work itself isn't difficult - it will tire you out though

Cons

Horrible pay - other cleaning companies in my area were offering starting wages higher than I ever reached Little/no communication from higher ups to literally anyone Guilt trip you when you call out because they refuse to hire more than minimum staffing

Pros

Not many… none actually come to mind

Cons

Wear and tear on personal vehicles Low pay (some cleaners were only making $12 an hour) Low raises (25 cents every 6 months for cleaners and up to $1 an hour every year for management, no one ever gets the dollar since they always find something to avoid that No benefits other than vacation time Expected to go to unsafe areas (including the projects in the city of Pittsburgh) Revolving door of employees High expectations with little to no help from upper management to obtain the expectations You will be used and abused until they are done with you UNORGANIZED Unprofessional Zero work/life balance Upper management doesn’t listen to your ideas to make things better , but shortly after will take that idea as their own and implement it The owner is obsessed with doubling the size of the company and will do anything to get there including firing employees who say they should slow down and focus on the accounts and employees that are currently there. The hiring process is extensive and long which means new hires often take other jobs offered before Environment Control gets back to them. I absolutely regret working there. Often sent to train new employees with little to no knowledge of the person you’re training New employees often aren’t given all of the correct info for the job and will quit on day one or two I could honestly go on and on but I’ll stop here
