Environmental Defense Fund reviews

-Upper management is insanely bureaucratic, and HR is basically a revolving door -You basically need to have taken on extra work for 6 months-1 year before you'll get a promotion. There's an expectation that you have to "prove" you can do it, instead of going off of previous works and merits -Pay isn't great -Internal candidates are not prioritized at all for open roles. I know of multiple people who applied to a different internal positions on another team and never even heard from HR, or heard that they weren't continuing with interviews. These are your colleagues! Where is the courtesy of a 2 second email? -Expectation for a lot of travel in low budget situations (ie sharing a hotel room with a colleague). Not to mention the hypocrisy of upper management flying across the country for a one day meeting...

The lack of diversity is unfortunate. There is no growth potential for staff hired at lower levels. Senior leadership just don't care about what happens to low level staff. HR has blown through people like toilet paper, Finance is a hot mess, and Fred refuses to address any of these issues.
