Pros

Flight benefits, and the ability to trade shifts with other agents

Cons

We work so short staffed that no one has enough off time to travel. Their HR and benefits department is completely outsourced. It can take up to two weeks to get an answer for what should have been a simple question. The pay is not great and the company manages to pay straight time due to all the restrictions on what is considered overtime. The company Envoy changed its name from American Eagle Airlines and has been slowly getting worse over the past few years. Holiday pay used to be double time, now 1.5 time. If you are looking for a temporary 1-2 year job just to travel around, it may be for you. If you are looking for a career in aviation don't look here. American Airlines Group is slowly distancing themselves from Envoy.

Pros

The semi free flying and friendly employees.

Cons

If you are more concerned about the pay then this is not the job for you. The company is based solely on having their employees work hard for less money. The benefits are not that great also if you work part time they take more out of your check on a bi-weekly basis and if you work full time they take a little less out. If you only care about the flying then it might be a good fit for you. They charge you for flying so do not come into it thinking everything is free. The company takes money out of your paycheck every time you fly. So if you go international depending on the location it could be around $200 or more coming out of your next paycheck. It's very discouraging because you pretty much work hard for almost the same as someone in food service or retail and have nothing to show for it. The management goes off of seniority but hold favoritism to specific individuals. You can pretty much get away with doing just about anything their because management only cares about the number of bodies that are working at the company. Also its hard to move up in the company because if you are good at one specific thing then the company wants to keep you their. More rules and regulations are being broken everyday and management looks the other way or they say that they have no idea about information being reported by other agents. "Management is very passive and lazy. "
