Pros

Its a hit or miss job. If training goes easy, and you don't mind doing more programming that they tell you in the interview, you will do great and probably enjoy the personal freedom.

Cons

Training can be really excessive and pointless. Lots of it comes across as a formality.

Pros

- Excellent benefits. - Good work ambiance. - Good start up job as all the training will be provided. - Nice work colleagues.

Cons

- You are screwed if your TL thinks your aptitude is not sufficient. The bad part is, he is not always trained to measure it. He just derives it from random feedback from others. - Beware working with other TLs as they have the capacity to rate you for your pay hike and other growth opportunities. - 'You did a great job' note from your TL does not match the pay hike you get. And there is no reasoning if you try to inquire. - Your TLs knowledge can be very intimidating if you are a new hire and they do not have a process in place to make you feel educated. You are expected to know your stuff by the time you are 6 months old at Epic which does not work well. Especially given how integrated the software is.

Pros

Good starting pay and raises within the first two years Cafeteria is great Lots of people hired right out of college, its like a built in social network

Cons

Minimum 50 hrs/week required, if your TL notices you working less than that they'll find something else for you to do. TL structure is insane. These people are promoted based on their supposed job performance rather than any managerical skill they may or may not have. During my 3+ years I never recieved a performance review. Lack of transparency in the review process and firings/forced resignations with little or no cause lead to a wide spread fear throughout the company.
