Pros

You meet the occasional good person and make a friend, PTO

Cons

Multiple layoffs since 2020 and those that don’t get laid off end up resigning. People that wanted to bring beneficial change to the company either left or were let go. Processes change every week because they’re just trying to find something that works in the moment. You’re constantly fighting fire after fire. The data quality is crap so patients get inconsistent or delayed information and you don’t have all the info you need. People are in management positions with no relevant experience, blind leading the blind. Leadership plays favoritism. Patients are considered based on their value so gone are the days of “we take care of the patient”. This used to be a company where you could be proud of the work. Now it’s hard to be proud of work that leaves patients without medication and employees feeling miserable.

Pros

The flexible pto policy would be a pro if management did not make you feel guilty when you use pto, and then punish you when you don’t meet goals when you decide to take pto

Cons

The company has 2 rounds of massive layoffs. Not due to Covid, but due to financial issues. The way they handled the layoffs was ruthless and out of the blue. They are now making agents who were remote, to come back to the office in the middle of a pandemic and a recession. On top of everything, they constantly are increasing their metrics and they continue to make the commission/ bonus structure more unattainable. The base pay is also way below industry standards

Pros

- Unlimited PTO - Remote work - Ability to create your own schedule

Cons

3 layoffs within 4 years of employment. Gone are the days where reps had the ability to generate solid income (80k +). Leadership has a lot of work to do and rethink who they are placing in roles to lead others. Culture has been non-existent last 1 1/2 years. The company is on a downward spiral without any signs of rehabilitation. I hope current and new reps rethink their positioning with Equiscript.

Pros

Remote Work, Great Coworkers, Generous PTO

Cons

Equiscript was originally a great company. Everyone who made the company great has left or has been laid off. I know CEO Michael Burkhold has pure intentions at heart, and I believe he is being misled by others and is steering away from the company’s core values. Due to cuts in the 340B prescription drug program, Equiscript had a mass layoff in 2020. We were ensured that this would prevent anything similar from happening in the near future. This year there was another mass layoff, and the employees that were affected were terminated immediately without any prior warning. They were booted from all systems immediately. There were demotions for the employees who did get to stay. There is so much uncertainty in this company and over time there is less and less transparency in what’s going on in the company. I did believe in this company’s mission, and I do believe that it’s for a good cause, but the company is on a steady decline and the employees have suffered because of the company’s latest and current approach to solving the “issues” at hand. I don’t know the direction Equiscript will go in the near future. But they should start with changing their attitude towards employees. It has gone from great to very poor in a very short amount of time. Equiscript will eventually lose their best employees if they haven’t already. This company will crumble in due time and has completely lost sight of the mission. I believe Michael needs to take back charge and stop letting other people dictate the future of his company. I truly believe that other individuals in leadership are tarnishing the Equiscript name, which Michael has worked so hard to build. It hurts to write this review, seeing where the company was headed to where the company is now going.

We are glad that you enjoy working with Equiscript, we are happy to have you on our team. Unfortunately, like many other companies we have experienced some turnover this year, this a result of a lot of change in the industry. We are hopeful that we are putting the right people in place to lead us into the next phase of Equiscript.
