Pros

Pay is competitive People are slightly above average niceness Company has a good outlook

Cons

I joined Equinix a year ago and was fully expecting it to be a bit slower environment than I’m used to. Unfortunately what I’ve found is it’s exhaustingly administrative full of middle managers that spend all their time slowing progress down and run by old, non-diverse men & women using that middle management to validate their existence. All internal processes make you want to pull your hair out. Submit a ticket with IT and wait a week to get a response that doesn’t solve your problem. Then they close your ticket. Ultimately, there is no desire for progress here. If you come from the technology industry, I’d strongly recommend against working here. The only saving grace is a new CEO coming in from Google who will hopefully cut most of upper management, and with them, their ineffective friends

Pros

Good stock. Great business model. Nice building

Cons

If you end up at Equinix, you will hear from a variety of c-suite leaders, starting with the CEO, who inundate you with an endless barrage of passionate, insistent and even teary-eyed proclamations about their sincere interest in creating a safe, diverse and inclusive culture. But be wary of those who proclaim too much. Nearly all of these c-suite leaders are insincere charlatans. Since joining Equinix, I’ve watched as C-suite leaders have not been held accountable for very bad behavior that is anything but inclusive and tolerant. Meanwhile, a large number of diverse employees have left the company while others have been passed up for white Christian candidates. The CEO loves to profess, but he will not hold his c-suite accountable for behavior that would make anyone who isn’t white and Christian feel safe. The hypocrisy and insincerity are appalling. But hey, we sure do talk a good game here.

Pros

Cant think of any good reason

Cons

hiring process was quick! Great! but then things went downhill soon after that. Management has its own group of people and any new person is not welcome and is harassed to such an extent that either they resign or get fired. Hostile work environment, the manager and the team would not hesitate to start providing you work performance in the early few weeks.

This is not the experience any employee at Equinix should have and we will work back with our teams internally for learning and change. While it’s not clear if you pursued any resolution with Human Resources as an employee, doing so would enable us have the right information to address the serious concerns you’ve expressed. Again, we appreciate your honesty and concern .
