Pros

There are no pros. The company offers visa sponsorships, but since the new H-1B policy took effect, that benefit no longer counts.

Cons

For the cons, I'll only list 6 points here, but there are still others. 1) Toxic culture: The culture is one of the most demoralizing I’ve ever experienced. Because MANY employees depend on sponsorship to stay in the U.S., management holds overwhelming leverage. This power dynamic leads to excessive workloads and an environment where employees feel trapped rather than supported. 2) Extremely low compensation: The pay is far below industry standards given the intensity of the workload. Most entry level employees only qualify for the lowest H-1B salary level, which results in close to zero lottery chance. The company treats employees like short-term contractors, knowing most of them won’t stay long under these conditions. 3) Limited career development and scalability Individual career growth opportunities are limited due to the company’s niche business model, which focuses heavily on a narrow area of financial reporting. The technical skills learned are difficult to transfer to other industries. Training mainly covers project-level tasks and accounting basics, with little guidance on long-term career planning. Many processes rely heavily on individual team members rather than standardized systems, making transitions difficult when someone leaves. Technology support is minimal, leaving many workflows manual and time-consuming. There's no internal tools or software, which makes scaling the business very challenging in the long-term. 4) Untrained and unprofessional management: Managers often lack people-management skills and professional training. Even when your schedule is packed and deadlines are clear, they’ll still call you into long meetings to criticize “inefficiency” instead of offering help. Some managers have even made inappropriate or discriminatory remarks, but there’s no HR to report to—because managers act as HR themselves. 5) Leadership disconnected from employees The CEO focuses primarily on investor relations and public image rather than employee development. Company-wide meetings often repeat the same talking points about performance instead of addressing real issues or providing guidance that helps teams improve. These sessions feel more like PR updates than meaningful communication. 6) Poor location and quality of life: If you enjoy a vibrant social environment, this isn’t the place for you. The isolation and extreme heat make it difficult to enjoy life outside of work—you’ll likely find yourself spending weekends working and hoping for the weather to get less crazy.
