Pros

I worked at Erickson for nearly 3 years. Erickson has some of the best colleagues I have ever had the privilege of working with throughout my professional career. The environment is one that suites somebody who loves a faced paced company, is proactive, and is eager to engage in challenging problem solving. Erickson gave me access to many different professional areas that I would have never gotten at other larger companies. I was able to be involved in every aspect of the business which was invaluable opportunity to build my skill set.

Cons

Lots of change in culture and management. Benefits not as rich as other companies it's size No employee stock purchasing program

Pros

Look to other heavy lift operations like Columbia for pros.

Cons

Senior management is short on talent and vision. Pay equity doesn't exist. Directors make six figures while the employees who hold the company together struggle.

Pros

Great employees working in the field who are what everyone works hard for from Portland/McMinnville. Each employee has keen sense of awareness that they are the face of the Erickson brand for their location. Lots of work in austere conditions.

Cons

ZERO FOCUS ON SAFETY. This comes from the CEO on down thru the Senior Leadership team. On paper, it's stated that "Safety is our first priority" however, this really should be bidding and winning contracts. Portland has no idea who their customers are, what they want, what they expect and how to get results safely. Hiring more Sr Directors to Business Development and Sales staff but double and triple job roles/responsibilities to everyone else. Too much overhead for a company that wants to be world-class.
