They don't truly care about their clients because they don't care about their agents.
My clients have been in limbo for over 6 months now. I have not been able to help them cancel policies, add to their policies or do anything. I have clients who have policies that have cancelled that don't know they have. They all did business with me who brought them to Erie. Not the other way around. We are looking for new insurance companies to place the business. This is not easy for the client to understand. When you have praised a company in the past.
If you need their help they will go out of their way to screw you, especially their agents. I brought on over $300,000 of new premium to the company in less than 2 and a half years working as a rep for an agency. For a young rep and really any rep that is a lot. That agency stopped paying me and so I went out on my own and bought my practice miraculously. Erie refused to give me a contract and is making it difficult for me to transfer that business to another agent who will pay me on it (so the money I spend I might not get back unless I sue the other agent). So of the roughly $40k a year they should be paying me, now they are paying someone else. If I'm lucky, I will only get 40-60% of the entire amount I am owed, if anything and I have zero control of my business and clients. Loosing some because of this as well! Talk about taking care of the people who help make your company possible. The people who bleed to make your company possible.
The Agency Manager(who lives in my town), sent me a one sentence email via his IPad to tell me they would not give me a contract. When I went to try to meet him face to face and try to get an answer. He told me never to speak to him again.
