Toxic Culture

Pros

Benefits, immediate team members, decent pay

Cons

Where to begin? Dictatorship leadership; CEO and executive management completely out of touch; they tout “family culture” but in reality it is based on who you know; data and IT capabilities are decades behind; they’re more about PR than actually practicing what they preach; no consistency or fairness; some people can work remote, some can’t…depends on who you know.

Used to be great

Pros

If you can connect with a great leader you can grow professionally. The company offers lots of opportunities to take classes and compete stretch assignments. The benefits are great. A pension and a 401k, plus decent health insurance.

Cons

The forced to return to office to prop up the downtown has soured most of my coworkers. We accepted being in the office a couple of days a week, but creating a "bank" to draw from to perform work which has successfully been done remotely. Someone isn't being honest here. Presenting return to office as for our own good is wrong. No one knows what's best for me, except me.

Legacy Employee (25+ years)

Pros

Family oriented; The new CEO is MUCH better than the former; Competitive pay and benefits; Community outreach and volunteerism very high on list of priorities

Cons

Certain areas of the company don't value the work of the longtime employee. There are certain areas of the company that overlook seriously bad behavior and promote the wrongdoer out of the position instead of addressing the ongoing problem
