      Pros

      Flexibility with schedule and working hours. Only good for putting on resume for non-experienced people

      Cons

      Not a fulfilling place to work for. Coworkers are unfriendly and lack compassion. The environment is very ‘do as I say and not as I do’ type of leadership. The office is full of water bugs/cockroaches. Clearly the condom research coordinator is attracting more roaches into the office than actual people who want to work with her. 3 separate people (not including myself) resigned in a short period. Also, terribly low pay.

      Pros

      Great opportunities to work in collaborative partnerships between State and Local Departments of Public Health. There are some incredible leaders and thought partners you can find within this organization and people are generally open to collaborate across departments. Impressive to see staff who have been with the organization for over 25 years.

      Cons

      Top Down Corporate Leadership model. Limited opportunities for growth. Limited diversity of leadership and management staff at this organization. Office environment can be very quiet and cliquish.
