      Pros

      Good salary, excellent benefits, challenging work, beautiful new facility

      Cons

      Poor management, continually short staffed, continually changing staff, attention and therefore empowerment given by management to chronic complainers, lack of direction by upper management leading to poor cohesion among technicians and doctors. Lack of encouragement for personal growth. When issues arise between co-workers they are not fully investigated and handled poorly. Focus is often on interpersonal drama and not patient and client care.

      Pros

      Very structured but not in a stuffy, traditional corporation sort of way. Good benefits. Generous CE allowance. Very supportive of internal promotions and helping people further their education. Overall very professional. Leaves no room for showing favoritism. Really cares about employees needs (work/life balance, burn out, compassion fatigue). Really make you feel like your part of a big family and make sure you know everyone in the organization and not feel so disconnected due to the size of the company.

      Cons

      Sticks to their rules no matter what. This can definitely be a positive to avoid favoritism and keep consistency but at the same time you don't get the personal exemptions from certain rules on a case to case basis that you might benefit from in a private practice (ie getting away with taking last minute PTO or picking up extra shifts to avoid having to take PTO)

      Pros

      The Ethos team is one of the most dedicated, passionate group of employees I've ever worked with in my career. The management team is open to hearing from employees and thoughtful in their approach to running the business. The culture centers on continuous learning and development, taking excellent care of our clients and their pets and being a leader in the veterinary industry. The work we do is truly a labor of love for our team. I've referred several employees!

      Cons

      Ethos is a newly formed company (3 years or so) and there are growing pains like with any young company. It takes time to coordinate all the different aspects of a company and to get everyone on the same page but we are moving in the right direction.
