      People and culture. Lots of terrific people and generally all very collegial, mindful and creative

      Very little top down direction. This is also one of the things that makes the company great but can be frustrating at times.

      The culture, vision, people, and actions of Etsy all help make business and the community a better place. All levels of employees at Etsy believe in the brand and vision. Etsy started in Brooklyn and stayed in Brooklyn, it has the toughness, fun, and heart that comes from being here.

      Cons

      Etsy still isn't a widely known company as a whole, also many people who have heard of us don't know what exactly we do. Many people don't know we are headquartered in Brooklyn.
