-Decent pay -Good benefits -Interesting work for ML / LLMs -Leadership is focused and goal oriented with a clear north star

Cons

-Lots of really talented folks getting more and more on edge because of layoffs and culture shifts -Some questionable practices and politics getting in the way of Etsy's long term success; erosion of good culture over time -Difficult to get basic analytics tooling and support for product teams

nice people great wlb + benefits great office everyone smiles at you and wants to be your friend problems are relevant to lots of other internet companies

Cons

career development is hard and confusing too much sql lots of politics career progression seems to depend on how much folks like you, rather than what you actually produce compensation is lower than peer companies

Pros

Etsy is the fourth tech company I've worked at and the first company I've worked at that isn't an absolute trashfire for women. My work is interesting and impactful, I have a great work life balance, and the perks are pretty good. I love working here and anticipate staying for years.

Cons

There's a lot of bureaucracy around performance reviews, and the process can feel pretty opaque.
