Pros

The actual chemists themselves (only half the company maybe) generally have a high work ethic and don't compromise their data. Benefits are good enough to make you think they might care about their employees at first.

Cons

Those ethical chemists I mentioned? That is in comparison to how willing management and customer service managers are to blow smoke up clients' {whatever}s. Ask about employee turnover. Unhappy employees don't stick around. They have gone through a few hundred employees in the last several years. Lots of management problems for a company with about 75 employees. Management is not ethical in their practices with clients or their own employees so they continually lose hard-working, ethical people or fire them right before they quit.

Pros

I recieved some industry experience while working as an analyst.

Cons

the environment was anti-intellectual and suppressive of thought due to overhead economic pressure. The air conditioning stopped working.

Pros

Good hands-on experience with instrumentation, a good teamwork culture, job stability, great place to work if you like overtime and weekend work

Cons

Management is more focused on the bottom line than performance. Workplace bullying by management is not dealt with by upper management or HR. Management is not always made up of people with adequate technical knowledge which can hinder young analysts from growing. Promotions tend to be based on time served or friendships rather than performance. Employees seem to be expendable, and the company doesn't seem to care when someone leaves the company.
