Never a dull moment; good, diverse group of young people to work with.

Cons

Wow. Where do I start. Ditto on the poor work/life balance, and poor pay/benefits. Poor supervisory management. Those in science supervisory roles are great scientist(s) and business acumen; but very poor with supervisory management, coaching and leadership. Also, the work load is not matched up with resources, which causes everyone to work like slaves for extended periods of time, compromising the quality of work and quality of life for the employees.

Pros

Great people. Very good, supportive relationships. Level-headed organization overall. They do not get angry and emotional. The european influence keeps them very practical and even-tempered.

Cons

High pressure, low pay scale. At times the pressure is unhealthy. Reluctant to hire new staff even when the work load clearly demands it. This puts an unnecessary burden on performers to pick up the weight. They are pushed until they burn out or leave, or both. On the other hand, low performers coast along without discipline or intervention. This is the most comment problem.

Decent benefits, great for recent grads to gain experience, good work life balance, host social events

Cons

Very low pay, no room for advancement, if more experienced main job is to mentor recent grads, low pay increases, no support from management, company promises development opportunities but never deliver, if have an issue management will always side with the client, can't work from home, always overloaded with work
