Industrious and friendly environment stifled by low pay and lack of career growth opportunities
Pros
Positive work culture, community outreach, good training resources available (webinars, conferences) if you express interest to management. Can take pride in being part of the quality services provided. Benefits (insurance, 401K with matching, PTO) are very good. Local and mid-management are approachable. Some extremely hardworking people.
Cons
Disconnection between lab and front office, lab over worked, pay is VERY noncompetitive, bonuses are small or non-existent, and there is a substantial lack of career growth and advancement. Upper management (at the senior/corporate level) are not interested in investing in personnel growth, would rather maintain high turn-over rate and replace with a fresh person at low pay. Could really be a great company if they would place a higher value on employee growth and retention.
