Pros

Casual environment. Nice workplace with gym. Focus on healthy living. Good benefits, part of your health insurance is paid if you participate in healthy living. Balance work-life environment.

Cons

CEO Larry Gilbert has all but abandoned his company by moving himself away from corporate headquarters. What he has left behind are non-qualified leaders full of empty promises and fake smiles. Morale is low. Communication is non existent. Systems/Data Integrity are either broken, out of date or not applicable to the company model. No structure. No training. They desperately cling to what they believe is a company culture but it only takes a new employee a few weeks to realize that "culture' means a ping pong table in the backyard. Pay is well below competitive in the work force with no chance of upward growth. Leadership has no interest in your future goals.

Pros

Nice campus and met some great coworkers. Decent work/life balance and considerate of employees with children.

Cons

Constantly understaffed due to trying to cut expenses leaving most employees overworked and unappreciated with unrealistic workloads. This company moves people around without a plan in place because they are too cheap to hire more people, leaving current employees to take on additional work without the additional compensation or a say in it. If you want to move up in a company, don't bother holding your breathe as it is nearly impossible. People who don't deserve promotions get them leaving others that actually deserve them disgruntled. This company also creates new executive level positions for no reason. No one knows what the positions are and when asked even upper management can't give you a straight answer. Another example of poor decisions made by people who are trying to run this company. This company says that they value communication and feedback from their employees during quarterly coffee lounges, yet the CEO himself is unable to answer questions point blank and talks in circles with no real solutions. NO TRANSPARENCY! Not to mention that the CEO of this company doesn't even live in San Diego, and therefore has this delusional perception that his employees are happy and isn't even here to witness the company morale first hand.

Pros

Breakfast, mostly nice colleagues, beautiful campus.

Cons

Recently bloated Exec teams are putting the "CULT" in culture, any criticism whatsoever ostracizes you-promotions and firings seem to mostly be linked to being a yes-man or not. Managers are effectively useless as Execs are making hiring and firing decisions ignoring their input. "Transparent" company only transparent during good times and not acknowledging record unhappiness levels in year end survey. Most everyone seems scared to open their mouth about anything to management at any level, makes the day to day pretty awful and I'm not sure how it would improve. One Exec comes in at 8 leaves at 3 everyday while another is shaming buyers working the usual 8 hours. The company is one ted talk away from bankruptcy, every week there's another ted talk to keep in mind while you desperately try to do some actual work whilst trying to find a single actionable pillar of their word soup "culture"
