Cheap, super cheap

Pros

- Most people are nice. - Remote work

Cons

- If you haven't read the title, they are cheap. - They hire weird people in senior leadership who make stupid decisions and then cut down workforce to hide their dumb strategies. If you're a senior leader, you should know that you need to stabilize your product before you hire growth teams. Your clients are screaming about complaints and you think adding new modules is what'll get you new customers. - They do silent layoffs in several rounds so they don't appear in the news - Their salaries are below market value, their swag sucks, their townhalls are boring, they don't care about their employees - I tried to refer about 7 different people to apply for jobs across EC and all 7 people denied those roles, looking at the pay.

Avoid at All Costs

Pros

WFH is allowed. (That's about it.)

Cons

- This is the most disorganized company I've ever worked at, especially the Accounting Dept. There is no real solution to any problem. The Band-aid approach at its best! You end up working with multiple managers/directors on various projects of your job responsibilities. I do believe it is designed this way so that it's easy for them to give you more work to do since none of them (even the person you directly report to) has any idea how much capacity you are left with. It was always about "whom I'm going to let down this time if I don't prioritize a particular task" (aka "selective disappointment"). There were many system wide changes and implementation, but as the end users, the accountants were rarely (or should I say never) brought into the conversations or the processes. Instead, we were usually handed some half-assed products at the very last minute before any major problems popped up. - Extremely unreasonable workload. As many have mentioned here, they will keep adding projects to your plate regardless of how much more capacity you still have. ~10 hour day is the norm; 12+ hour day during month and quarter end is never a joke. That said, the compensation and benefits package are definitely not competitive but actually below the market. - Lack of management skills. One junior manager constantly micro-managed me and other team members on things that were not necessarily urgent. Most managers and above lack basic level of empathy because they do not care about you as a person or a member of the team. The only thing they care about is if you have completed all the work by the deadline. Sometimes they did "encourage" you to log off early (aka around 5 pm), but the reality was that if you did, then you probably would either get behind on your own schedule or you would have to make up the hours some other way.

Pros

Nice co workers, decent benefits

Cons

They do not care about the companies they own, they choose to let each company run itself into the ground. If you go to them with an issue, they refer you right back to the incompetent supervisor you were having the issue with in the first place.
