Pros

FTO, full-time remote work, good perks like wellness reimbursement/student loan repayment/recently revised parental leave program - DIEB investment/programs

Cons

Lackluster culture with no perceived interest in improving it. Lots of performative statements about inclusivity and belonging, but it’s clear what this company cares about: meeting fiscal goals due to going public (which they clearly were not ready for). They have unrealistic expectations as to what people are capable of under pressure and simply don’t seem to care about the people busting their butts to try and gain even an inch of success for the company. For a publicly traded company, Evercommerce’s HR team is a joke. They’ve invested a lot in building job architecture/career path programs and promised how powerful this will be for employees - but have delivered nothing. The approach to recruiting is a slow moving dumpster fire. Their IT team can’t handle the capacity of requests employees have. And, it’s clear that the C-level is out of their depth and woefully out of touch with what the subsidiary companies need to succeed.

Pros

Filled with great individuals and people managers who are very authentic. Work life balance has been flexible and great up to now, depending on your manager.

Cons

The company has always felt lost and engaged in constant change. That was doable because Evercommerce was people centric and the work life balance was great. It's very important that people understand that this company barely resembles the company mentioned in reviews before mid 2024. In Dec 2023 when the people team told all managers in a company wide meeting that pay doesn't motivate and everyone is replaceable, that was some real foreshadowing. A transform and optimize effort was launched. There are less resources, increase in work to do, people have been laid off with little severance, compensation packages for new employees are shrinking, there is much less career growth opportunities to gain people management experience, and we have had a significant reduction in benefits, perks, and an increase in the cost of our benefits. Many here are working in a state of constant anxiety, overload, and disappointment. People are actively leaving and it is a domino effect. Morale is very low. This is pitched as streamlining to benefit our customers. All this really sounds like cost reduction for Wall Street or because the company is in major financial trouble. Either way, there is not much in this organization to recommend to a person looking to work at Evercommerce. I haven't seen one legitimately beneficial thing done for employees that hasn't come from direct managers fighting for it since I've worked here. Many of those managers have been let go or are so scare or burnt out that they are leaving. There has been a lot of tone deaf angling to tell you why everything is good for you though. I could see them stabilizing things in a year or two if they become more profitable. For now, you are taking a critical risk joining this company.

Pros

Remote Work, benefits, and pay range

Cons

I can't recommend working at this company due to the extremely negative environment fostered by management. Micro-management is rampant here—managers watch every move and seem to have zero trust in their employees' abilities or judgment. This creates a stifling, high-stress atmosphere that kills productivity and morale. Managers here believe they're always right, regardless of evidence to the contrary or feedback from their team. Constructive criticism isn't welcomed, and attempts to suggest improvements are often ignored or dismissed outright. As a result, the company is stuck in outdated methods that don’t serve its employees or clients well. The culture here is toxic, plain and simple. There's a lack of support, empathy, and encouragement, which is vital in any healthy workplace. Many talented people end up leaving because of these issues, leading to high turnover. If you're looking for a positive work environment where you can grow and be respected, I’d highly recommend looking elsewhere.
