Pros

For me, some pros are making a real impact on children. I can help shape kids during very important developmental years. Teaching them to talk, share, and learn can be fulfilling. Strong emotional connections. Kids get attached to their teachers, and their excitement shows when they see you, it can make their day and your day too. I get to make my classroom a fun and creative. I get to do crafts, sing songs, read stories, and play games. Every day is different with my class. Also, personal growth, I fell like working with children builds patience, communication skills, and emotional intelligence.

Cons

Low pay, physically exhausted, emotionally drained, Feeling like you’re not trusted Constant checking, correcting, or controlling small things can make staff feel undervalued. This can feel overwhelming, and stressful.

Pros

Seeing the children smile and families who did recognize your hard work.

Cons

Corporate made you worry about every misstep because they were constantly trying to layoff employees. There were no incentives to stay on (lack of bonuses, career advancement) besides titles and quick internal school recognition. They were unsupportive and kept on employees who lacked good work ethic (literally was doing a second job AT WORK) which made it harder for those with strong work ethic. I came home from work everyday stressed and worried after often working more than a 40 hour work week.

flexibility for different teaching styles friendly and welcoming staff preplanned curriculum, you only have to focus on implementation helpful admin great location, great to take the kids outside!

Cons

not enough pay opens late, no early morning shift benefits were difficult to apply for admin can be unprofessional at times not very flexible for disabled employees
