Pros

Apex Systems is great. They got me one of the best rates I could ask for given the market and have been able to keep my contract going. The recruiter has been engaged during the contract and anything I need he handles (unless he's on PTO). Have seen a few consultants convert to FTEs so that's a great sign for both Apex and the client.

Cons

Attempts to gain insights into the contract from the consultants that didn't go over well with the client (or the consultant overhead being asked). Some turnover on the contract, but that isn't really an Apex issue (was more of a culture fit between the consultants and the client).

Hello, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are sorry you had a negative experience working at Apex. While there are many factors that come into play when it comes to consultant PTO/sick time/holiday pay, it is most often determined by the type of contract the client has in place with us and/or the length of the contract. Based on the average length of our consultant contracts, by the time the requirement of time worked is met, the assignment has or is getting ready to end. However, we would like to learn more about your specific situation. Please contact us at contractorcommunity@apexsystems.com so we can learn more about your experience and provide additional information. Thank you.

Pros

-build your confidence talking on the phone -great in-depth systems for data input, efficient processes

Cons

-awful training -9 people left in 5 months while I was at a top 3 office, most were account managers so the work they were putting out was half-hearted at best. Had to make sure THEY were on top of communicating with managers, and more than once they mistakenly left a voicemail on my phone attempting to reach said managers... -training for sales always came from account managers who were never fully present. In the end, we didn't even meet in person or have a document sent to us. Our "class" was getting "real experience" by bugging other account managers to ask their advice on that training topic, on top of already having that be a part of our basic training with Upper Management. Again, some of them ended up leaving the company for another job, so they didn't care. Upper management blamed us for not knowing what we were learning in sales. -Absolutely no respect for professionalism and not crossing a line with flirting. from other recruiters, account managers, or directors. Told someone 3 times I wanted to be professional, he responded by leaving me a note and chocolates on my desk before my first sales exam. -keep in mind: your days off include sick days. -salary is not worth it. If you want to get a basic understanding of communication and data implementation (for/from clients, definitely not internally), then this is a good first job. -favoritism and stealing job openings before telling other people on the team is a thing. -asked them what international opportunities they would have, and they assured me that in the next few years they would have openings in Spain and other places that were in the works. CEO came to visit the office for a Q&A, had awful answers on increasing workplace diversity and overall employee benefits. Also said they are definitely not thinking about expanding outside North America.
