Pros

There are no Pros! DO NOT ENROLL AND DO NOT APPLY!!!

Cons

I have worked for this company for over a year as an Admissions Counselor. I have had to do some of the most demeaning, deceitful things just to enroll students. I have lied about the benefits of the programs. Promised them job opportunities for such off the wall programs such as Alternative Medicine or Alternative and Renewable energy. Lets get real! You have people with Accounting and engineering degrees that can't get a job and you think these prospective students will get a job with these degrees! GET REAL! Upon approval of management I was directed to tell a student to ENROLL OR ELSE. This is a Heavy Sales position. Understand that! With that being said, no one wants to enroll to an unknown school for $8000.00 a semester for undergrad for approximately 11 semesters. That's almost $90,000.00 just for a bachelors degree. INSANE!!!!!!! when well known community colleges cost 1/4th of that price. This school has no amenities. No Gym, no clubs no job opportunities. The classes are 1 month long. Imagine what you have learned in a class that you have taken all semester and condense that into 1 month. Now think quality of learning and retaining that material. Yeah Right!!! My job was to threaten students to enroll, If not I would have been fired. The president Kristi Mollis and her subordinates threaten your job on a daily basis. They call you, email you and text you several times daily while you are making calls and with prospective students wanting to now if you have found another sucker! and wanted constant reports daily. This seriously slows down your daily progress of finding said sucker! The stress and fear you have on a daily basis of losing the job will erode you inside in ways you can only imagine in NIGHTMARES!!. I have deceived students to enroll just to keep a job. I HOPE GOD CAN FORGIVE ME as these students will be in debt up to their ears with a degree which is virtually useless, unless you run out of toilet paper at home. If some part of you is looking for a job at Everglades University and you see this message. I hope you take this seriously. If i had a chance to speak to someone who was looking to get hired at Everglades University, I would tell them that not only is it better for them not to have a job, but that it would be better for them if they walked blindfolded, in reverse, into oncoming traffic!

Pros

It's impressive that the president is able to instill such fear in her managers that they all have to write bologna reviews about working at EU to boost their ratings...

Cons

Being idealistic and bright-eyed will not get you far at this place. They want spineless yes-men that will throw complete logic out the window when it comes to basic good business practices. Being creative and having new ideas is seen as rocking the boat and you won't go far. They'll stymie you, take away your overtime and make your life a living hell until you quit. No life/work balance. Working on Saturdays and Sundays and changing your schedule without any advanced notice... we had to work on Labor day last year without holiday pay... we even had to work on Christmas eve without holiday pay. HIGH turnover (the staff has churned itself out at least twice in the past year... VPs, Deans, Department Chairs, you name it, they have all quit because that place is unbearable) This place is going to lose its accreditation. They created a masters program and without even having teachers, books or classes, they SOLD it to students!!! They didn't even have an academic chair to help create the program because they ALL QUIT. Not to mention, they would have us change forms and add advising paperwork to files when the advising never happened. I was actually asked to sign a document that was dated 2 years before I worked there! SACS needs to wake up and take a good long look at this place and its practices. Save your reputation and DO NOT work here. They're going down in flames and they'll use you as a scapegoat. DO NOT believe the positive reviews about EU. They were written by management and as you'll see from the previous reviews, management has no idea what they're doing. I've worked at gas stations that have better management than this place.

Pros

The cons outweigh the pros so much that there isn't much point in listing any. The location is convenient and there is a cool banyan tree in the parking lot. If you have no regard for the current state of the national post-secondary education system AND you have ethics with no boundaries when it comes to cheating students out of their future earnings, then this might be a great place for you.

Cons

The school is run by greedy, socoipathic, paranoid control freaks who will do everything they can to make you push the boundaries of your ethics to their limits... and beyond. There is nothing, NOTHING more important to them than getting the next enrollment. Please be aware that the positive reviews on here are FAKE. I worked there for nearly a decade and can assure you that the negative reviews are completely honest... and not those of people with poor work ethic, as stated in one of the positive reviews. Ignore the false positives! Run away as fast as you can.
