Thank you for your feedback and for the time you spent on our engineering team. We appreciate the contributions you made during a period of meaningful change. Over the past 2.5 years, Evolve’s Product and Technology organization has undergone a significant transformation — culturally, operationally, and technically. We’ve worked hard to sharpen our customer obsession, increase talent density, clarify ownership, and improve how we plan and ship. That has included strengthening technical leadership, modernizing systems and workflows, and creating clearer accountability across teams. Change of that scale can feel disruptive in the moment. But today, we’re operating with greater focus, velocity, and alignment than we have in years — and we’re excited about the pace and quality of what we’re building. We know there’s still work ahead, and we’re committed to continuing to raise the bar. We appreciate your time at Evolve and wish you continued success in your career.

Pros

Remote work, technology provided, some individuals at the company

Cons

Evolve used to be great and I loved saying I worked at Evolve. But ever since 2020, things have seemed to of been falling apart. First things first, I’m highly disappointed and frustrated with how Evolve handles layoffs. There have been silent layoffs since 2020 where people are laid off at least once a quarter. I was one of those individuals and it was 3 weeks before I give birth. Unfortunately for me, it’s completely legal to do that but puts the ethics of the company at stake. I understand business operations happen but the complete lack of empathy I received from the company who knew my maternity leave was due to start soon only to lay me off right before is inexcusable. Don’t expect to hear anything from anyone when you email them how you feel either, cause those who manage leaderships inbox won’t bother to respond either. I know so many individuals who have been negatively impacted by the choices that evolve has made in their leadership that’s resulted in too many layoffs for me to even count on my fingers and toes. Leadership is all over the place. COHAD means absolutely nothing when the company changes their mind on a weekly basis and leaves their employees confused as to what direction the company is actually going in. Teams are understaffed and those individuals still working are stretched thin and constantly having too much on their plate, especially since the salary doesn’t match the workload of employees. Burn out is huge at this company but nothing is ever done to help the last remaining solid people that are in the company. Don’t expect to get decent raises once a year because the raise you’ll be given feels like a slap in the face for having to run around 40 hours a week. I used to be incredibly proud to work at Evolve and it’s a shame I’m having to write this but when it comes down to it, you’re just a head count not seen as a real person. I hope that the company can bounce back and truly get to where it was before but the way things are going, I’m not confident in that. At the current state of what I know this company to be at, I would not in a million years recommend someone to work here.

Thank you for your feedback and for the time you spent at Evolve. We’re glad to hear there were aspects of your experience—including remote flexibility and meaningful relationships—that stood out positively. We also want to acknowledge the seriousness of what you shared. Workforce decisions are never taken lightly, and they are not made based on personal circumstances such as parental leave. We comply fully with employment laws and approach these decisions with care and consistency. That said, we recognize that when a transition coincides with a major life event, it can feel deeply personal and painful. We do not take that impact lightly. We also want to clarify that while we have made structural adjustments over the past several years, there have not been quarterly company-wide layoffs. Organizational changes have been intentional and tied to business alignment—not reactive or cyclical reductions. Evolve is built as a high-performance, customer-obsessed organization. That requires clarity, accountability, and thoughtful planning. We continue to strengthen how we communicate change, support teams through transitions, and ensure compensation and workload expectations are aligned. We appreciate your contributions during your time here and wish you and your family the very best.

Thank you for your feedback and for the contributions you made during your time at Evolve. We're glad to hear you found value in remote flexibility, your compensation, and the support from your direct manager—those remain important parts of the experience we aim to create. We take feedback from our teammates seriously and hold all Evolvers accountable for living up to our value of COHAD (Communicate Often, Honestly, and Directly); that starts with our Leadership Team. Over the past year we’ve implemented twice-monthly all-company AMAs to create more direct access and transparency, as well as an open #ideaexchange channel where any Evolver can share ideas to improve the customer experience and how we operate. We’ve received strong engagement and positive feedback on these forums, and we’ll continue building on them to ensure teammates feel heard and informed. Thank you again for your time at Evolve. We wish you the best in what’s next.
