Pros

Remote/ Hybrid work/In-Office were all available. Fun product. Leadership used OKRs to set the North Star. You knew what your work contributed to. Org was good on coaching.

Cons

Layoffs were common after Covid. Re-orgs highly dependent on the state of travel, vacation travel, discretionary spending at a national level.

Thank you for your feedback and for the impact you made over your years at Evolve. We’re glad to hear you valued the flexibility of our work model, the clarity provided by OKRs, and the focus on coaching—those remain intentional parts of how we support performance across the organization. As a company in the vacation rental industry, we know market conditions can shift quickly. While we've made structural adjustments in response to those changes, our focus has remained the same: aligning teams to our long-term strategy and delivering value for our customers and business. We appreciate your time at Evolve and wish you continued success in what’s next.

Pros

-Flexible schedule (you work in your own timezone and set your own hours -8 hours a day req, but you choose what start/end time works well within reason) -Great coworkers -chill environment -great 401k package

Cons

-Very repetitive role -Mostly on the phone all day -changes are frequent and invetible. Evolve often says 'we will figure out how to fly the plane as we're flying it' we make changes quickly to systems and workflows, and sometimes results in website errors etc. that impact our workflow and the clients we work with - which can cause frustration with clients -Often a lot to do (many people are in and out of the role - so the workload can add up when the team is lacking OBCs)

Thank you for your feedback and for the work you're doing every day to support our owners. We're glad to hear that the flexibility, 401(k), and team culture stand out—those remain intentional parts of how we operate at Evolve. We recognize that the Onboarding Consultant role comes with volume and complexity—from daily conversations with owners to navigating ongoing updates to tools and workflows. We expect a lot from this team because the impact you drive is real and measurable. That said, speed should never come at the expense of stability, and we’re continuing to refine how change is implemented and resourcing is managed to minimize unnecessary friction for our customers and our team. We are always open to specific ideas on how to improve and encourage you to connect with your leader, a senior leader, and/or your PBP. Thanks again for sharing your perspective.

Pros

Remote work is a bright spot. Colleagues are friendly and talented. People genuinely care about guests and one another even when leadership falters. Culture is young, energetic, and casual. People early in their careers can get some experience in customer service or operations.

Cons

The company doesn't know what it wants to be. There's talk of innovation, culture, and values, but in practice, it's chaotic. Leadership changes direction constantly. Priorities shift without explanation. Micromanagement is everywhere. Decisions are top-down. Attempts to question or suggest improvements is viewed negatively. People keep their heads down and are afraid to speak up. Those that speak up are next on the layoff list. Pay doesn't match the workload or expectations. They can't afford to increase wages but executives are hired at inflated salaries. Then teams are trimmed to the bone, leaving fewer people to do more work under tighter deadlines. Morale has declined. Talented people have left. Those who stay are ready to get out. It’s a shame, because there were genuinely good colleagues but the leadership environment crushes that energy.

Thank you for your feedback and for the contributions you made during your time at Evolve. We’re glad to hear you found value in the flexibility of remote work and the care and talent of your teammates—those are core parts of our culture that we work hard to protect. We recognize that operating in a high-performance, customer-obsessed environment means moving fast, evolving often, and setting a high bar. But that only works when it’s paired with clarity, consistency, and trust. When those pieces are missing or misaligned, we know it can create confusion—and that’s not the culture we’re building. Over the past year, we’ve made focused changes: improving how we communicate priorities, developing stronger leaders, and realigning how we evaluate performance to ensure we’re rewarding impact and supporting growth. There’s more work to do, and we’re committed to it. Thank you again for your perspective. It helps us move forward with greater focus and accountability.
