Pros

401k, Profit sharing, health benefits, paid maternity, 1 week vacation in 1st 6 months. Ewing as a whole is great. Take a job in IT, Sales, procurement etc.

Cons

Just stay away from accounting department. Very toxic work environment. Management is known to write fake reviews to try and get people in. They write about advancement thats a lie. Atleast it is in accounting. People is this department have been demoted with pay cuts. Or just let go.. in the past 6 months 7 people have been let go or quit. If that dosnt say something idk what does. Not one person has been "promoted" in the 5 years I was there.

Pros

I have been with Ewing for a few years now and the training is they give is second to none to their customers and employees.

Cons

They grossly underpay you. Healthy more then doubles every year and the person that is managing the health plans for the company doesn't use the plans they get for the company. Health Plans are sub-par at best. They raise your health and 99% of the time will not even give you a raise to help cover it so basically you get a pay cut every year. And if you use any kind of tobacco product forget it you pay an extra 50 a month for that privilege I personally don't smoke any more but that is still bs next thing you know they will make you pay extra for being even just 1 pound over weight. But they have competitive pay right? NOPE! You are paid way below industry standard and if you work in the "Office" you are even more screwed over then the branch locations. The employees sit on top of each other basically 1 small fridge for every 50 employees, no brake room you have to sick at your desk to eat, you have to park on the street and they are not even up to code for the number of restrooms or stalls that you are supposed to have for an office. It is all store store store store and screw your personal life and we want you to pay to work for us but even the stores get the short end of the stick on most things. I know what you are thinking there must be some perk to working there? The answer is no there really is no perk to working here.

We are sorry to hear that while working at the Ewing Home Office you felt under appreciated and underpaid. Ewing provides one of the richest benefits plans in the industry to it's employees. Health care costs are increasing ever year and we absorb as much of the increase as we can and only pass on a portion of the increases to the employees. Once an employee has reached their 10 year anniversary with the company, Ewing pays for 80 to 100% of the cost of Family Medical Coverage. Ewing also offers Profit Sharing and 401K with 4% employer match. We also offer dental, vision, disability, voluntary life insurance and a 100% employer paid life insurance plan. Ewing has experienced amazing growth in the last 4 years and this growth has allowed us to add great people to our Home Office staff. We are excited to start renovations to the Home Office so we continue to be a great place to work.

Pros

My colleagues at Ewing are the best part of working here. I have a family of friends across the country because of this company. A close second is the chance to grow in technical, leadership and management skills. If there is a special skill set that you bring to the table, there is likely a place in Ewing where you can soar with it.

Cons

There are systems and conventions that, to the uninitiated, make little sense and can be a source of great frustration. Over time, however, the method reveals itself.
