Pros

Many students are amazing. Human Resources is trying. Leadership is undermining. JEDI is trying. Undermined. Faculty are ALWAYS trying. Look: the bottom line is that the workspace is demoralizing. Toxic people get promoted. People who have lost their voice keep their job. If these are the pros.... so be it. The final pro: people who want to complete their degree are able to do so and some amazing faculty are responsible for that.

Cons

There are not many great things to share lately. Job postings shared nationally that have already been filled with "former colleagues". Total confusion about.... many things related to academia and students. Thank GOD the faculty are still doing their jobs, because they have no idea what's going on due to ZERO communication. It's fine, though. It's all great and there are "so many opportunities". Show me.

Pros

I have really enjoyed the people I work with directly each day. The paycheck and benefits have been nice.

Cons

The very high turnover in leadership is disturbing, especially during the last 18 months. It means constant change that does not always appear to be in the best interests of the organization, and no time to see if previous projects result in data that supports the changes or not. Although we hear that the student experience is the primary priority, the students are not feeling that or hearing that message (and all you have to do is ask them). It is unclear how recent decisions help our students or meet the mission. But maybe the mission has changed and it just hasn't been communicated (that's a thing)? I don't know, I feel very sad and disappointed. I don't think it had to be like this. Changes could have been implemented in a much more organized and intentional manner.

Pros

Nothing good to talk about.

Cons

This is a terrible place to work with mean people and bad leaders. You can’t believe anything they say. They don’t care about employees and fire people every year. Disgusting place and dishonest higher ups.
