Pros

For the Project that I was working, my co-workers were easily the best part. really diverse, friendly, and helpful to the point of helping me break into my own car for an hour after work xD Cannot vouch for them peeps enough Really does well to make sure that you get your breaks on time, and they don't sweat you being a minute or two late getting back. Free coffee There are benefits

Cons

Minimum wage to start. That is below everywhere else in the US. "Promotions" are limited and are really more just to boost morale, as a $0.50 pay raise doesn't motivate many people. Actual promotions to different positions I heard were not substantial either, especially for the extra workload you were given. Minimum bug reports per week. This incentivizes writing bugs about nothing that clogs up developer time instead of getting the important ones out of the way. This also has the unfortunate side effect of the devs not listening to advice as often. The breakroom has an entire wall just for paid snacks. Not an issue, if you don't mind always having that temptation there. I could not handle it myself, so it's going here :v Sometimes there's Mandatory OT, typically right before your project launches.

Pros

Nothing I can think of.

Cons

My recruiter lied to me about my salary, pto, anything you can think of. It took me 4 weeks to receive my first check in the mail while I had already established direct deposit. Even after being hired, I was still harassed about background checks.

Pros

The experience can serve as a "stepping stone" to get other QA jobs or other jobs in the video games. The average employees that work there are also friendly and supportive (the problem is management).

Cons

Never felt respected by higher management and never was given a choice in what team to work on. Promotion can be very difficult to attain and the pay is disproportionately low for the work provided. Most employees have college degrees, yet are payed similar wages to fast food workers. Raises are miniscule when given.
