Pros

Experis makes the effort to foster a "people first" culture. For my project, this includes; -Setting up 1:1 meetings with your team lead once a month to discuss the project and your feelings on it and the team culture. -Setting up 1:1 meetings with your project lead once every 3 months to discuss the project overall in its entirety and your feelings on it. -Setting up meetings with the entire team to review the current systems in place every 4 months. -Team Managers who are willing to meet with individual employees 1:1 whenever needed. -1hr of paid self improvement time / week. This means you get paid for 1hr to spend time as you see fit, so long as it is learning a new skill. --They also offer Power You to assist with this, which teaches everything from coding to handling crucial conversations and development of professionalism. Aside from those meetings, the company also worked recently to improve its health benefits for several of its teams. Benefits include; -10 hrs of PTO earned / month -Decent health coverage -Poor vision coverage -Decent dental coverage There is a lot of room for movement in the company. Both in your own team, and to other teams.

Cons

Does not pay matching into their 401k. No longer has paid holidays. Employees must use PTO to get paid during holidays when the offices are closed. -This means you get 120 hrs of PTO/year. There are 9 Holidays which the offices close for. You get 3 days of PTO, and if you are in Washington state also get your state mandated sick time bank. Not the worst system, not the best. You may be placed on a team doing different work than you initially expected.

Pros

You might like some of your coworkers

Cons

terrible pay for a highly technical, specialized job (Portland, OR area) -Test Associate 1: $16.05 per hour -Test Associate 2: $16.53 per hour -Test Associate 3: $18.23 per hour Living wage in Portland, OR as of July 2021 (1 adult, no child) is $18.86 per hour terrible benefits -no sick days -no holiday pay -no 401k match -no paternity/maternity leave -no insurance assistance tons of overtime on extremely short notice rhetoric from leadership is all about the customer at the expense of employees leadership is not receptive to feedback regarding working conditions the classic "we hear you", then nothing changes if you speak out about the working conditions, a target is put on your back at one point, I was literally told in writing, "what you're doing has gotten a few sets of eyes on you at various levels and that's not always a good thing..." after advocating for better working conditions rather than give you clear, direct feedback on your performance if there are issues, leadership will say to you and I quote from a written message from leadership; "were you not able to sense an issue in your interactions with your team members?" this company and the leadership expect you to read minds before offering you any direct feedback avoid working here unless you are absolutely desperate

Pros

Overtime during crunch (if you like that)

Cons

Contract work-no guarantees on how long between contracts Overtime was almost always mandatory, with up to 60 hour workweeks during crunches Health insurance was expensive and fairly poor quality Some projects had low worker quality to meet contracted SLA manhours, but that meant far more work for the good workers who had to do their own job and fix the bad worker's mistakes Little room for advancement, no reviews/raises-over time you had a chance to go up to test associate 2 and slowly progress but no annual increases Low pay, most of the workers were at minimum wage (though, industry standard norm. Many employees came from other AAA studios that actually paid less because their state had a lower minimum wage)
