Pros

If you pay attention, learn from your trainer, seek new opportunities, and understand their processes then you'll do great. Expect change, its the nature of the market this company is in. I have to say, I ended my career as what is known as an RTL. I can honestly say, I'm one of the few who knew the processes, understood the business, and my fellow coworkers came to me for advice on calls all the time. Thats why o took the promotion. If you like being the one who patients go to when they ask for a supervisor because you have a way with people or you seem to know a lot and everyone ask you questions all the time, why not get more money doing what you do best and take a position on the RTL team?

Cons

Work and home life balance is not great, HR issues are hard to resolve as there is no one physically there you can go to. They have outsourced their HR to a 3rd party. Be prepared to get yelled at ALL the time. This job is by no means for the weak. You can't just yell back at the customer either. Working for this company can really put you on edge, test your patience, and challenge your ability to tell the customer to stop being a self centered entitled bleep because you are simply the messenger and yes, you are under fire a lot! Your job will be ever changing. From what clients you lean to the processes themselves, your job will never be as easy as it was during your training. This is not a bad thing if you excell at things like this, but if you don't like change, this is the wrong job for you.

Pros

So long as you're open to never knowing what's going on, keeping your head down, and taking on new responsibilities without additional compensation, it's a good job. The people are fantastic, but things change for the sake of change so rapidly that you're just getting your legs in a new SOP and it changes.

Cons

Mandatory overtime, call center environment
