Pretty happy

Pros

Tuition reimbursement ( I have used it a couple of times), free PTCB review course and exam reimbursement, 401K, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Good PTO, great schedules, located within 5 minutes from my house and no phones (Sr. Intervention Tech), and Annual Bonuses based on performance (which I have always received)

Cons

Work can get really repetitive and boring, and in a production environment it is hard to talk to your coworkers...longer lunch breaks would be nice

Express Scripts Response

Our mission is to make the use of prescription drugs safer and more affordable, but we can only do that when we have a work environment that helps all of us do our jobs to the best of our ability. We provide flexible work schedules and make work-at-home programs available when the role allows. In addition, we provide competitive paid time off/leave programs to support a healthy work-life balance. Your feedback is important to us and we’ll take it to heart as we continually work to improve our culture and our work environment.

Not the same as Medco

Pros

It is a fairly easy job taking customer calls. The pay will now be the same as other customer service jobs in the same field.

Cons

This company only looks for cost savings and does not handle situations logically. I previously worked for Medco before Express Scripts purchased them and Medco paid a much higher salary, had better benefits and was more concerned with getting things handle properly as opposed to looking out for profits first then the patient.

Pros

Management is more concerned with their "friends" instead of running departments correctly. You can stay under the radar and avoid the crap show. You can stay to yourself because management is clueless.

Cons

Completely unprofessional. I worked at ESI as a contract worker. I watched under educated and unqualified contractors be offered positions because management "liked how they dressed" or "liked how they fit into the office clique". Meanwhile, the other contract workers did the majority of the department work and were expected to work a minimum of 50 hours a week during the year. Middle management are a complete joke and departments are ran like high school clique groups and not like a professionally ran company. THIS is why George Paz has one of the lowest percentages of all CEO's in America. The rate of compensation no where NEAR matches the work load responsibilities asked of employees. ESI is arrogant enough to think that they can keep burning through employees by hiring naive college students who don't know they are being screwed on their pay. It makes me laugh to know that the Medco system transition has been a complete nightmare for ESI and how much money they've lost due to the lack of unqualified management making decisions that never worked on the floor. Hey ESI, a lot of your problems stem from your middle management. How about you talk directly to the workers instead of these compulsive liars you call your Team Leads. I've met over 10 people since I left ESI and I've not heard one good experience about working there. When ESI loses its contract with the Department of Defense and other government agencies, I hope the Feds sue the living hell out of you.
