Not what it used to be

Pros

Benefits are ok. The deductible is high but the actual cost of the insurance isn’t bad. I’m not sure how Cigna’s takeover will effect this

Cons

The training was a joke. The pay is not enough for what is expected of you. In interviews and training they act like it’s all just one big family and that patients were the priority over everything. All lies. As soon as training is over management completely changes their personalities and the only thing they care about is the bottom line and since Cigna took over, the quality of patient care has all but disappeared. That is not what I signed up for

Pros

Pay is deposited promptly every two weeks. They try to provide good training for the job. Colleagues are nice, when you have time to talk with them.

Cons

Management has unrealistic expectations of employees

Pros

- Pays Ok - Ability to work from home; though this varies from team to team - Good benefits especially PTO for corporate employees - Very stable business model with no exciting changes

Cons

- Minimal Guidance & Training: Don't expect any guidance or technical resource supporting your role; management just wants you to start producing numbers for them instead of giving you development opportunities. Minimal training is given and the rest is on you to figure everything out. - Bureaucracy & Favoritism: Bureaucracy is all over the place here. There are probably more VPs in some departments than analysts which is laughable. If you want to survive here, kiss up the CORRECT higher-up will help you a long way. You will get fast tracked in your career by becoming their favorites; however if you are not one of those favorites, you are out of luck & will stay in your position probably forever. - No accountability: With the bureaucracy they had over here it's more important to make sure your boss & your boss's boss look good than doing actual work so people would make up numbers and nobody would want to do any implementation on anything. Plus nobody checks on whether your number is correct or not, so fake it until you make it (& nobody will ever make it)! - Siloed working environment: A lot of teams work in huge silos even sub-teams within the same org don't talk to each other. Nobody knows what's going on with the other group. This basically makes collaboration impossible.

Pros

Standard job benefits that are included in fortune 500. Easy interview and great colleagues. Excellent 401k match remote work freedom depending on manager however everything will be changing after Cigna takeover effective 2020. Only good for short term in these cases since it takes over a year to get used to the PBM business.

Cons

Everything depends on your immediate manager which is middle management position and though my manager and colleagues were excellent the department itself was lousy with no training and very short sighted approach to problems. No opportunity for promotion or growth unless you switch departments. Lots of silos and middle management has a hard time dealing with it. Lack of fresh ideas and approaches in top management and you will see same people getting promoted year after year 😁 who are pals.

Pros

Co-workers were nice. Training was very helpful. Benefits are great!

Cons

Upper management was terrible. The job says to be able to work under minimal supervision, however workers there felt they were under full supervision.
