Poor management

Pros

Independent, no one breathing down your neck to do something....work at your own pace.

Cons

Work by yourself with clientele that is declining. Overnight drug deals and prostitution. There's so much work that has to be done. There is only one camera in the whole hotel and it mainly points to the cash draw...proves they don't care about their employees, just the money.

Pros

Never a dull day at the office - free room nights. Interesting meeting new people everyday. Ability to learn a lot from crosstraining.

Cons

This used to be a great place to work where everyone knew everyone - now just a typical corporate structure with a CEO and upper management staff that are the typical corporate stiffs who despite their rhetoric dont care about the associates. I understand business but what they have done is unconscionable - no work/life balance - managers are severely overworked and underpaid, no appreciation for the time and effort they put in - Upper management are all ego maniacs who are only concerned with fattening their wallets and stroking their egos. Most if not all will be gone in a year with millions and the back bone of the company is left with little to show for it - but that is corporate America at its finest!

No support and little appreciation

Pros

Not much to report as the company is looking out for the bottom line and could care less about the employees.

Cons

After the company decided to go public they cut jobs and would only allow part time hiring to avoid paying healthcare. They do not give promotions and company values are very one sided. Work and life balance is very tipped, expecting 24/7 . Regional sales staff do not believe in what they sell and are doing it just to keep their jobs. Initiatives are a joke and very expensive to market. Best to spend it on hiring more property staff and give back hours to do sales and work to bring business in.
