Pros

Guaranteed full time is very nice and the starting pay is at least above minimum wage. I wish I had negotiated more at the time of my hiring though.

Cons

Customers can be very hard to deal with in this business, they often times see you as an enemy and won't hesitate to drop some mean spirited words over rate-increases. Impossible to ever get a Saturday off without using up your PTO

Pros

I have worked for Extra Space for over 10 years. The work culture at this company is very slanted towards doing what is best for the employees. We have multiple recognition rewards and programs. I have witnessed store managers promoted up through the company to become Divisional Vice-presidents.

Cons

I would like to see the store manager pay be tied more closely to the revenue volume of the facility they manage. Off site manager pay does not compensate fully when compared to on site managers.

Quick promotion potential, Laid back, great access to corporate associates, compensation provided for everything done

Cons

Lots of cleaning, not all stores are the same, must have a car, sometimes have to cover other sites
